hi Roddie, yes i have heard they're name but have not seen them, we do get limehouse lizzy and dizzy lizzy who sometimes play at a crewe venue called the limelight club, limehouse lizzy are by far the best tribute i've seen. i'm hoping to get to the leeds gig in november but havn't got any details as yet.
Hi Parris
nice to speak to you, yes. The Wild Ones are a tribute band from Derry in northern ireland,we are all doing different things at the minute, the boys wanted to do some other stuff,we have played peterbourough a few years ago,and dublin and limerick in the last couple of years, but hope to come together again in the future to play the odd gig, anyway nice to speak, keep on rockin
cheers
hi Chris.well good luck which ever way you go chris, its great that there are a few decent tributes to Phil still around , but its also good to see how many cover bands in the clubs and pubs play Lizzy tracks in they're sets, in fact i cant think of any band other than lizzy that still have theyre tracks covered to such an extent.i'm going to see Midge Ure in october , seen him before and he always does a couple of Phils tracks as way of a tribute, hes a nice bloke too .
Hi Parris
Brian from the band(guitar) just got the wild ones doing black rose on you tube from a gig we did a few years ago, have a wee look.always curious to see what people think.i have a new band at the minute called after hours,as you say, doin a few philo tunes there too, some rare stuff,a night in the life of a blues singer, full dont believe a word, memory pain,p walkways,i have ran a few lizzy tributes in derry over the years,do hope to run more at some stage.
