I agree with LizzyFan about a big event for the 25th anniversary. It is no harm puting the idea out there, after all Jon Bon Jovi is a huge Lizzy fan ofter play's wearing a Thin Lizzy t shirt. So who know's maybe it might not se that diffucilt to get a big act.If we dont ask we will never know

In my oppinion The Black Rose is probably the best song ever written.Another favourite of mine is Old Flame.
Bit of a stickler for yee.

Does anyone know of The Bell / Shields Band ?

I was informed recently of this partnership.

After Eric left Lizzy he was approached by Brush to form a band, it didn't last very long.

Is there any info on this. Is it true or false ?

hey lizzyfan , i don t know about a bell/shields band but eric bell is playing at my local venue in crewe namely :the limelight: in crewe on 4/4/08, i dont know if brush is involved or not.
Hey Parris1,

I was talking about the 70's my friend.

But saw Eric in The Madison in Rathmines Dublin last year and also at The Rory Gallagher Festival in Ballyshannon in County Donegal when he supported Sinnerboy. He was great and signed some LP's for me and got some great photos with him. He is a gentleman and he will tell you a story or two about those Lizzy days.

His favorite item of clothing is his Metallica T-shirt, he was invited on stage with them for Whiskey in the Jaro when they played in Ireland some time ago.

Enjoy yourself, you are in for a treat.
Black Rose is definitely my favourite song of all time! Never heard song such beautiful like that! True masterpiece!
I do agree that Still in love with you is fantastic, Phil puts so much emotion into the song but I also love 'A night in the life of a blues singer' the guitar solo is brilliant it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I also think Renegade and Cowboy song are pretty good. There are so many to choose from.
Oddly enough its really only quite recently that I have got into "a night in the life" and, like u I love the solo. I have heard lots of people cover that song in recent months and all agree its a terrific song
