i thought we might have a discussion on the best tracks by Philip Lynott / Thin Lizzy, there are so many albums with some amazing songs on them , so heres my top 5:
1, still in love with you [live and dangerous, the emotion Philip has in his voice cuts you to the bone,and the solos are amazing , i wonder who he was writing about]
2, fools gold [ johnny the fox]
3,Cliffton grange hotel [thin lizzy, early lizzy, raw , brilliant ]
4,little girl in bloom [vagabonds of the western world , erics solo on this track just blows me away]
5,the cowboy song [jailbreak]
lets have your views , it ain't easy choosing.

yeah you could go on and on couldnt ya, dear miss lonely heart is a cracking track, i know all the others except having a good time , dont recall that one, which album is it from?
sorry i cant take 5 songs in Lizzy carriere,all the different lp was so good,but my favorit was aulways BAD REPUTATION so....

Correct Answer Lizzy have had so many great songs but from the usual ones we hear on radio stations.
Like Gnasher who played at the Vibe played great songs from the first three albums, nice to hear them being played live.
I hope more tribute bands play more Lizzy songs rather than the favorites we are so used to.

i know where you are coming from ,with that, most tributes seem to play the classics ie live and dangerous set, wouldnt it be great to hear the oldies , early lizzy tracks , remembering pt1 for instance or look wot the wind blew in, all great tracks that sadly seem to get pushed to the back of the q, i recall asking wayne from limehouse lizzy play little girl in bloom and he didnt seem to know that .
